TAUKTAE the extremely severe cyclone and its implications on building Resilence

Cyclone Tauktae has impacted all five states of the west coast—Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat. It intensified extremely rapidly from a Very Severe Cyclonic storm on Monday early morning to an Extremely Severe Cyclonic storm by 8.15 am, something that India Meteorological Department hadn’t forecast. A very warm Arabian Sea will result in many more cyclones. What we need to do is? 1.Prepare underground electric infrastructure 2.Mumbai Model of underground electricity model needs to be implemented in other cities and villages too . 3.Windspeed and storms of 100+kmph will become common owing to climate change...advance alerts need to be issued and nowcast systems needs to be revamped. 4. Here we welcome 2020 with back to back WD's The western disturbance (J3) is about to approach India on 13th January 2020.This western disturbance is likely to cause widespread rain and snow over the hills of  J&K.Delhi ,Haryana,Punjab,Rajasthan,UP,Bihar,Vidharbha,and some parts of Gujarat will also experience rain and Tstorm activity. This western disturbance will be followed by another one on 16th JAN which will again give rainy days to the northern plains..Once these WD's move away,there will be a sharp drop in temperatures all over the Northern Plains..there could be severe cold wave conditions with dense fog at some places . While the Desert country of UAE has received huge amounts of rain...all credit to a strong WD plus the cloud seeding system of the UAE.
